Abstract


Socio-cultural competencies are especially significant to a security guard in his successful work, career promotion, his meaningful life. The analysis of the scientific literature revealed the lack in investigations concerning security guards sociocultural competencies development in the aspect of student-centred learning.The scientific problem: what are the possibilties for security guards’ student centered learning to develop their socio-cultural competencies? The research object: security guards’ socio-cultural competencies.The aim of the research: theoretically and empirically analyse the security guard’s socio-cultural competencies in the aspect of student-centred learning and foresee their development.  The research objectives: 1) present the theoretical basis for socio-cultural competencies in the aspect of student-centred learning, 2) determine the socio-cultural competencies of security guards, 3) investigate the respondents’ attitude towards security guard’s socio-cultural competencies in the aspect of student-centred learning. Research methods: descriptive analysis of scientific sources and documents; quantitative research; statistical analysis. The article theoretical and practical significance. There is reasoned the learner-centred learning concept and essence in the aspect of guard’s socio-cultural competencies, there are distinguished factors and methods and discussed their assessments. There are prepared recommendations for security guards, managers, outlined the possibilities to develop socio-cultural competencies in the aspect of student-centred learning.
