Календарные обряды и песни средней Волыни: состояние традиции на рубеже ХХ–XXI веков



This article by Ukrainian ethnomusicologist Anastasiia Kolodiuk (Aнастасiя Колодюк) considers calendar rites and related songs that have been recorded during the folk ethnographic expeditions in Ukrainian Middle Volyn region on the edge of the 20th and the 21st centuries. The most common ritual activities such as Christmas and New Year carols (koliadky and shchedrivky), spring carols (vesnianky), Kupalo carols, harvesting songs are the subject of the research. Every subparagraph contains information about the ethnographic and musical aspect of the rite giving possibility to have the entire image of it.
