Песни закликания весны на Среднем Полесье



The aim of the article by Ukrainian ethnomusicologist Marharyta Skazhenyk (Маргарита Скаженик) is to give the reader with some information on singing traditions of early spring of the Middle Polissya. It was recorded by the author in folklore expeditions of the 1990–2000s. Author presents the spring songs (‘zaklychka’ – song for invitations of the Spring), with most widespread forms of rhythm (this songs based diamb and with verse 5+4, 5+5, 4+4+6, 4+3+3 and 4+3), ritual context of these melodies (if the information about it was possible to fix), calendar period of singing, subjects and functional load. In conclusion the gives description of the condition the spring singing traditions in the period of the end of the 20th – the beginning of the 21st centuries.
